Este canto fue grabado durante el ritual de la pubertad femenina en nombre de la señorita Gladis Manduca, en el resguardo de Arara (Trapecio amazónico colombiano), durante el mes de enero de 2008. El ritual de la pubertad femenina (yüü) es un ritual de iniciación para las muchachas púberes, cuya entrada a la vida adulta debe ser protegida contra toda mala influencia.
