Abstract

María Auxiliadora León Bastos menciona varios juegos sin explicarlos y después explica el juego del venado. Relata que antiguamente el juego del venado (kowü) consistía en que una mujer no podía jugar tirando pedo a un hombre o a otra mujer, porque más adelante le traía consecuencias llamadas “cutipes”. Es un juego antiguo y así es. También resalta que en su comunidad se está perdiendo la identidad cultural ligada a la lengua materna. Además, menciona que en la comunidad de Puerto Rico, de donde es su pareja, se reconoce el trabajo que él realiza en favor de la comunidad y de su gente. Señala que la mayoría son tikunas, aunque no siempre se sabe si son hablantes de la lengua, ya que cuando llega un familiar a la comunidad y los saluda, no todos responden en ella.
