Abstract

Canción del duelo entre lapa y tigre; la lapa reta al tigre que ella estará lejos de él comiendo en la noche y huirá de 'usted'; luego el tigre le dice que él la sacará de su madriguera y aunque ella se tire al caño el la atrapará. La grabación, transcripción y traducción de la canción se hizo entre marzo y abril de 2001 en Piedra Alta; una posterior grabación en estudio se realizó en Bogotá en 2004

Song of the rivalry between paca and tiger; the paca challenges the tiger that she will be far away from him eating at night and will flee from 'you'; then the tiger tells her that he will make her come out of her burrow and even if she jumps into the river he will catch her. The recording, transcription, and translation of the song took place between March and April 2001 in Piedra Alta; a subsequent studio recording was made in Bogotá in 2004.
