Abstract

El abuelo Jorge Maduca relata la historia del pueblo Magüta, sobre la existencia de Ngutapa y Mapana y de cómo fue pescada su gente. Los hermanos Yoi e Ipi se preguntaron qué iban a hacer con las personas que habían salido del agua. Entonces Ipi preguntó a Yoi: “¿A dónde vas a llevar y ubicar a tu gente?”. Yoi respondió a su hermano: “A moyapa, un lugar sagrado, o a moyavina, en la montaña sagrada.” Yoi ordenó a Ipi que debía ir con su gente hacia arriba (daukeane), más lejos. En ese momento Yoi e Ipi empezaron a identificar a su gente y distinguir si eran de piel limpia (blancos) o indígenas. Yoi le dijo a Ipi: “Esos son tu gente, hermano; los que tienen corona (ngookurá) y tobillera (náapenaa) son los tuyos.” Entonces Ipi preguntó a su hermano: “¿Si Ngutapa ya se fue al otro mundo, nosotros somos los encargados?” A partir de ahí, las condiciones de vida cambiaron. Comenzó el plan de enseñanza: los primeros pasos eran el decir y el hacer. La convivencia entre clanes iguales podía causar peligro, por lo que se recomendaba no ir al río ni ponerse a jugar.
