Explica que la canasta servía para cargar y transportar plumas pintadas. Cuando iban a fiestas, mingas o a otras comunidades, llevaban las plumas para usarlas como adornos. The elder Elvira Laulate explains in Magütá the different kinds of baskets that exist and what they are used for: pechi, bure, uata, and wotura. She explains that the basket was used to carry and transport painted feathers. When they went to festivals, mingas, or other communities, they would take the feathers to use as adornments.
