Abstract

El abuelo Abelardo Pérez León cuenta en Magütá que antiguamente no había tantos materiales o juguetes como los que se ven ahora, para jugar juegos como petecas. Sus abuelos y nietos jugaban sin miedo, utilizando materiales de la selva como palo sangre o quinillas, ya que no existían en ese entonces juguetes de plástico. Recién a partir de los años 1942 se empezaron a usar materiales como las tapas de lata.

The elder Abelardo Pérez León tells in Magütá that in ancient times there were not as many materials or toys as one sees now for playing games like petecas. Their elders and grandchildren played without fear, using materials from the forest such as palo sangre or quinillas, since at that time plastic toys did not exist.
