Abstract

El abuelo Honoracio Peña Ahue cuenta en Magütá la historia de un jóven pescador que consiguió su mujer, que era un airumacachi, que es el tigre de agua. Sus hermanos le decían que fuera a pescar, y él siempre traía toda clase de animales, incluso muy grandes. Un día, cuando quería regresar de la pesca, los tigres no lo dejaban ir. Elder Honoracio Peña Ahue narrates in Magütá the story of a young fisherman who took as his wife a woman who was an airumacachi, the water tiger. His brothers encouraged him to go fishing, and he would always bring back all kinds of animals, even very large ones. One day, when he wanted to return from fishing, the tigers did not allow him to leave. In the end, after many attempts, he returned injured.
